The purpose of this website is unfortunate, but necessary. The overarching goal of this website is to organize neighbors to help discourage, prevent, obvserve, and report criminal activity in our community.
We would like to organize the residents of De Luz, California against the thieves that are breaking into our mailboxes, our vehicles, and our homes.
Our first specific goal is to start a campaign to raise funds to buy and place trail cameras at all mailbox locations in De Luz.
We would like to raise approximately $2,000.00 to buy 10 quality trail cameras (also known as game cameras) to place at the community mailboxes in De Luz. We will need to raise an additional $500.00 to $1,000.00 to buy the necessary batteries and/or mini-solar panels and memory cards for the cameras. Once we have the cameras in place, we will be able to catch the thieves in the act and provide the evidence to the police.
As memebers of this community, it is our responsibility to protect our property and to look out for our neighbors. With a little effort, we can work together to prevent crime in our area.
If you're unable to donate, we will need volunteers to check the cameras on a regular schedule to change out batteries and memory cards, and upload the media from the memory cards to this website.
We're in the process of communicating with neighbors to get permission to place the cameras on their property. If you would like to volunteer your property, please contact us.
